“In the last days perilous times shall come.  For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of Godliness but denying the power thereof” ~2 Timothy 3:1-5 (KJV)

We are living in those days now. The world is full of chaos, deception, and destruction. But as born-again, Spirit-filled children of the Most High God, we are not powerless. Jesus already paid the price. When He said, “It is finished,”  He completed His mission.

What was His mission?  He was sent to save the lost, preach good tidings, bind up the brokenhearted, and set the captives free. (Isaiah 61)  In the book of John, Jesus tells us that the devil comes to steal, kill and destroy, but HE came to give us life, and life abundantly.  He went around healing all that were sick, delivering those that were bound.  He destroyed the work of the evil one and gave us the power to do the same.

“I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.” ~ John 14:12

We now have the power to overcome. Overcome what? Fear. Guilt. Sin. Shame. Lust. Poverty. Doubt. Bondage. We are new creations in Christ. But too often, we receive His grace and forget about His power. We live like we’re still bound when Jesus already unlocked the chains.

Jesus told us in the book of Matthew that, “whatsoever we bind on earth shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever we loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”  Whatever you’re facing today—whether it’s anxiety, lack, temptation, or heartbreak—God will give you the victory. But it requires something of us.  We must seek Him, abide in His Word and obey Him.

We’re not meant to just survive. We’re called to thrive and overcome. Not in our own strength—but in His.

So let’s begin to “fight the good fight of faith”, and stand strong in the Power of His might!  Let’s Rise up and defeat the lies of the enemy!

You have the Power within you!
