In a world filled with challenges, setbacks, and trials, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Life can throw a fast curveball your way, and leave you in a tailspin of confusion and uncertainty. It is during these times of struggle that we need to rely on the power of God. We were never guaranteed immunity from trials or hardships but we were instructed not to fear them or allow them to discourage us.
Jesus said in John 16:33, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” Jesus has already overcome! You can have peace in the struggle knowing that He is fighting for you.
I just went to see the movie “Unsung Hero”, and was so inspired by the faith and hope that the Smallbone family shared. Even after losing everything, they continued in prayer and thanksgiving and saw the Lord answer need after need and prayer after prayer. They knew the maker of heaven and earth, and knew that He would not let them down. Where are you looking for your hope, your miracle and your answers?
Psalm 121:1 declares, “I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth.” This verse encourages us to look to the Lord for our strength and guidance, knowing that He is the source of our help and support. When you feel overwhelmed by life’s struggles, you can lift your eyes to the heavens and find comfort in the knowledge that God is with you, and He SHALL supply all of your needs.
As you meditate on these scriptures, I hope you will find peace and strength, knowing that He has already secured your victory. Lift up your eyes to the Lord, your ever-present help, and trust in His unfailing love to see you through every trial.
With God, you are more than a conqueror!
