Sometimes it’s not what you are doing, but who you are doing it with.  As Christians, if we want the supernatural power of God to show up we must look at who is in the room.  I have spoken many times on the importance of creating an atmosphere where the spirit of the Lord is welcome.  That of course is very important if we want the blessing and promises of God manifesting in our lives.  We must have the presence of God with us.  However, there is another factor that we have to consider and that is who else we allow in the room. You have to understand that not everyone in your circle is for you.  There will be those that act like it and sound like it, but in their hearts they really don’t want to see you advancing in the Kingdom.  Many  times this is  due to  jealousy left unchecked and they are unable to rejoice from their hearts as God begins to excel you.

There are also people that you will need to step out of the room with because they do not have faith in you.  Remember Jesus himself could not do any miracles in his hometown.  Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his own house”  Now He could do no mighty work there, except that He laid His hands on a few sick people and healed them”  ~Mark 6:4-5

He couldn’t do any major miracles because they did not believe in Him.  They did not see Him for who He really was.  They only remembered him as the carpenter’s son.  There will be people who come into your path that don’t recognize the true calling of God in your life or the full potential that God has given you.  You must set yourself in the right room with the right people in order for your vision and dreams to manifest.  It will be like rowing a boat against the stream if you are seated with naysayers and unbelievers.  You must find those of like mindedness who have faith in God and YOU.

You will never become all that God has called you to be hanging around unbelief. Your room must be filled with individuals that have faith in the Lord and  faith in you.  Faith that God is with you.  Belief that you have the ability  to overcome adversity and problems.  We all have good moments and we all have times in our lives when we are broken or in a tough spot.  It is imperative that you have those around you that will not lose confidence in you during those rough moments.  Our lives are a series of victories and battles.  When we win one battle, our reward is the next battle to conquer.  You need to make sure you are surrounded with those who understand the battle.  Those that will stick with you when you are on the mountain top AND when you are in the valley.

Jesus himself knew who he could keep in the room with him and who he had to send out.  Look at Matthew 9:23-25, “When Jesus came to the ruler’s house, and saw the flute players [who were professional, hired mourners] and the [grieving] crowd making an uproar,  He said, “Go away; for the girl is not dead, but is sleeping.” And they laughed and jeered at Him.  But when the crowd had been sent outside, Jesus went in and took her by the hand, and the girl got up.”  You may have those that mock you and  laugh under their breath like they did to Jesus.  But Jesus did not allow their unbelief to stop him.  He simply sent them outside.

This is true for you as well.  There will be times when you will need to keep the mockers and the unbelievers outside while you work with the Lord to produce  the miracle in your life.   I pray the Holy Spirit will give you discernment and strength to overcome all the challenges you face as you step into your next victory.
