Letting Go of Your Strength and Trusting His
We live in a world that teaches us to push harder, try more, and make things happen in our own strength. But the truth is, no matter how much effort we put in, there are battles we simply can’t win without God. Jesus invites us in Matthew 11:28, “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Rest doesn’t come from striving—it comes from surrender.
Over the years, I’ve personally learned the power of letting go. At first, I wanted to control everything—relationships, outcomes, situations. But when I began to trust God fully and stop trying to force things, everything changed. I’ve not only seen it in my own life, but in the lives of hundreds of others. When they stopped striving and began to pray, believe, obey, and leave the rest in God’s hands, He began to move in ways far greater than they could imagine.
I’ve watched God bring breakthroughs in finances, restore broken relationships, and even fulfill desires of the heart that seemed impossible. He is faithful, and He cares about every detail of our lives—big and small.
Jesus gave us authority when He said in Matthew 18:18, “Whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” Through prayer, we have the power to change circumstances—but that doesn’t mean we make them happen in our strength. It means we release them into God’s hands and trust Him to do what only He can do.
When you take your cares to the Lord, leave them there. Don’t keep picking them back up. Whether it’s your marriage, your finances, or your future, God’s strength is greater than yours. When you let go and trust Him, He will not only give you rest—He will work miracles and answer your prayers.
