“And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.  And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.  For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.” – Luke 2:7-11

It is my hope that you would experience the true meaning of Christmas this year and that you would be blessed with good tidings of great joy.  Instead of being entangled in the affairs of this world and wrapped up in all the physical aspects of the season, allow the Holy Spirit to fill you with an abundance of His love.

As I was meditating on the above scripture, I kept being drawn to where it said, “…because there was no room for them at the inn.  And I felt a heaviness in my heart, knowing that far too many times we have no room for Him.  Today, make room for Him and take a few moments to think about who we are celebrating.

He is the King of Kings and the Lord of Lord’s.  He is your redeemer, your high tower.  Your rock and your defense.  He is your comforter and healer.  He is Jehovah Jireh, your provider.  He is the one that takes away your sin and heals all your diseases.  He is your counselor, your high priest.  He is your mediator and your deliverer.

As we approach the throne room of grace, let our hearts be full of gratitude and praise.  Let not our hearts be troubled, consumed with worry, fear or doubt.  But let our hearts be filled with joy, knowing that our Savior lives.  No matter what your circumstances are, He has the answer and He is here with His arms open wide to receive you and call you His own.  Embrace His love today and receive the greatest gift of all, Christ Jesus.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!
