“But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.  And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back.  But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great”  ~Luke 6:32-35 (NKJV)

We all experience moments when someone wrongs us, speaks harshly, or causes us pain. It’s natural to feel offended or defensive—I know I’ve been there. But I’ve also learned that even if your feelings are justified, your spirit can still be out of alignment with God’s peace. When offense creeps in, it can disrupt your connection with God, clouding that deep, inner calm that guides us through tough times.

That’s why it’s so important to guard your heart and surrender your emotions to Him. Instead of reacting in anger or holding onto hurt, choose love and grace. God’s Word reminds us that vengeance belongs to Him, not us. When you trust Him to handle the situation, He brings peace and restoration that only He can provide.

Small acts of love can make a big difference. For instance, when I encounter someone who seems rude—like a cashier at the store—I take a moment to smile and ask, “Are you having a tough day?” Most of the time, that simple gesture softens their demeanor, opens up a genuine conversation, and even brings a thankful response. It’s a reminder that a little kindness can transform not just their day, but yours as well.

When we bless others—even those who don’t seem deserving—we reflect God’s love in our everyday actions. And as you pour out love, God pours back into you, restoring your spirit and drawing you closer to Him.

Embrace the moments and let your love go beyond all limits.
