“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” ~Psalm 147:3
Trauma, pain, and loss have a way of sneaking into the deepest parts of our hearts. Sometimes it feels like we’ll never be whole again. We may feel forgotten, overwhelmed, even overtaken. But I want to remind you—God is not done with you. He heals, He delivers, and He restores—often in stages.
In my own life, healing didn’t come all at once. It’s been a process. There are still days that I think I am fine… only to find the Holy Spirit gently whispering, “There’s still more to release.” I thought I had let go of all the unforgiveness, only to discover I was still holding on to bitterness, still wounded beneath the surface.
But as I open my heart daily and draw near to the Lord, I begin to see change. Little by little, the fear begins to fade. The pain losses its grip. The anger doesn’t control me anymore. James 4:8 reminds us, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” And when He draws near, He doesn’t come empty-handed—He brings healing, deliverance, peace, and love.
It takes courage to release the anger, the hate, the unbelief—but when we do, we make room for God’s presence to work. Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
If that’s you today, know this: you’re not alone, and you’re not stuck. Healing is happening, even if it’s slow. Keep showing up. Keep seeking Him.
God will make you whole. He will turn your mourning into dancing. Just keep walking with Him—one step, one prayer, one surrender at a time.
