Are you settling for just enough to get by? Living paycheck to paycheck without any hope of having more?  Fear of emergencies because there are no savings in sight?  Stop settling for just enough!

“Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.”  ~Ephesians 3:20-21

The Word tells us that people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge.  I am not here to preach a “prosperity message,” but I am here to tell you that God’s Word declares that He is a God of blessings and that He cares about your finances and success.

Money is mentioned over 2,300 times in the Bible and about 15% of the teachings of Jesus were on money.  Many times I hear people say that they just don’t feel right asking God to meet their needs, or to bless them.  They don’t believe it is right to ask Him for their desires or dreams, but that is not what God intended.  He loves when His children believe Him for the impossible.  How can God be glorified if we are sitting around in need, hopeless, depressed and unable to help others?

I find that many people are quick to remember the scriptures about the love of money being evil, and almost fear having a desire to acquire more in life. Yes, the scripture tells us we are not to put anything before Him, including money.  But, you have to understand that God was speaking about your heart.  Where is your heart?  Will you serve Him?  Will you live by His principles and allow Him to bless you?  Or, will you lie, cheat, steal and rob God in order to get ahead financially?  (See Malachi 3:8)

There are also many scriptures regarding money that you can declare over your finances. God will supply all of your needs, according to His riches.  You shall never be begging for bread. (Psalm 37:25)  You will lend and not borrow. (Deuteronomy 15:6)   If you seek first the Kingdom of God, He will give you the desires of your heart.  (Matthew 6:33)  If you give, it will be given to you in good measure, pressed down and shaken together and running over.  (Luke 6:38)

Just a few weeks ago, I was scrolling through some testimonies on the favor of God, and started to become a little jealous thinking, “why not me?”  I mean, I used to see the blessings of God happen often in my life.  Why wasn’t I seeing them now?  God gently spoke to my heart, “because you ask not.” (James 4:2).  I humbled myself, and began to thank the Lord and praise Him for His “favor” on my life.  Within days, I saw the hand of God supernaturally giving me favor.  I received a couple of unexpected checks in the mail, a free hotel room upgrade and someone gave me a pair of brand new Gucci sneakers.  God is so good!  And He will do the same for you!  He is a rewarder of those that diligently seek Him.  His favor is available to anyone who will receive it.

Ask big!  He is a big God, and is ready to do exceeding abundantly above all that you ask!

Will you begin to believe God for “more than enough?”
