Ever have one of those days that you just don’t feel up to par?  Life can hit you with a curve ball and leave you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or down right angry.  It’s during these moments that you can reach out in trust and surrender to God.  Acknowledge Him as your strength and source through worship.  When you fully surrender and begin to praise Him, all the heaviness flees.

Praise brings the presence of God, and where He is, there is liberty. (2 Corinthians 3:17)  God’s spirit gives freedom from oppression, sickness, anger, doubt and fear. When I am having a bad day and I put on some good worship music my energy shifts and so will yours.  I can literally feel weight come off of me.  My mind becomes clear and I am able to focus on what really matters.

Sometimes praise does not come naturally, especially when things are not going as you would like them to. It can feel fake, or uncomfortable to put on thanks. David knew the power of praise, especially the sacrifice, an offering of praise.  He said in Psalm 116:17, “I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving”.  Towdah’ is the Hebrew word for thanksgiving and means, “an extension of the hand and adoration to God.”

You can never underestimate the power that is in worship. Even Saul, when he was under demonic attack, would have David play the harp.  When David played, the evil spirits would leave Saul.  In your difficult time, extend your hands to the Lord.  Praise Him and watch His presence come in and change the atmosphere.

He is alive and waiting to show up for you.

Yes! Worship helps me greatly through the ups & downs of life. It is amazing how all the troubles fall off when in worship and after a calmness helps to give good mindset on solutions. Be still and know…Psalm 46:10 words to live by.
