Are you all in and going for it?  Many of us have at one time or another set our minds to achieve our desires, goals and dreams.  We are determined to do whatever it takes to obtain our desires. But sometimes, as we go all out, and things get a little tough, we can find ourselves lost in the, “I’ve got to make this happen”, instead of trusting the Lord to make things happen for us.  We leave Christ out of the business meetings, forget about doing things His way, and push Him out of our relationships, finding ourselves worn out, bitter and frustrated.

What if we began to truly trust Him and allow Him to lead us and guide us?  He promises us, in Matthew 6:33 that if we seek first His Kingdom, that He will add everything to our lives.  What if we made a decision, that we were going to truly live out His Word and walk in faith, believing that He was actually going to do what He says?

If we are to seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, we must first learn what the Kingdom of God is.  Romans 14:17-20 (NKJV) reveals to us that , “the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.  For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another.  Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense.”

The Kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy!  Our priority is to seek after righteousness, that which is right in the eyes of the Lord.  And to pursue the things that make peace.  I don’t know about you, but that peace and joy thing hits me pretty hard.  We can be so busy trying to be and become that we miss out on the abundant life of the peace and joy that Christ came to give.

I have had to work very hard at pursuing these things.  It is not always easy, but it is well worth it.  As you begin to change your mindset and make your priority seeking His Kingdom, I guarantee you that, “all these things”, shall be added unto you.
