“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans to prosper you and not harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11
It is important to know in your heart that God wants to do you well. He says that He has plans for you. The desires and dreams in your heart have been placed there by the One who formed you and made you. I truly believe that He wants to see those dreams come true even more than you do. Why? Because He loves you and created you to do good works. He gets no glory or satisfaction if you never step into what He has already planned for you.
But here’s the reality: between the promise and the fulfillment of that dream, things may not always look the way we expect. In fact, sometimes they may look worse. It’s in this space—the “in-between”—that our faith is tested. But Hebrews 12:2 reminds us that God is not just the author of your faith; He is the finisher of your faith. He is faithful to complete what He has started. Our job is to trust Him in the process and continue to walk in obedience, doing what we can while trusting Him to do what we cannot.
How Do We Bring Those Plans to Life?
The first step to seeing your goals manifest is to focus. Focus on the top three things you really want to see happen. Declare those three things out loud each day. Speak a positive confession concerning what you’re believing God to do. For example, if you want to lose weight, don’t just say, “I want to lose weight.” Instead, speak as though it is already done: “I weigh and maintain 135 pounds.” Continue to speak life over your dreams each day.
Take Action in Faith
Then, take one action step for each of your goals. Ask the Lord to show you what you can do right now to move closer to the vision He has placed in your heart. If you want to go on a trip to Alaska, what’s one thing you can do today toward making it happen? Maybe you can begin researching costs, making an itinerary , or opening up a savings account and making auto deposits for a specific amount each paycheck. Whatever it is, take that step!
James 2:17 tells us that faith without works is dead. When God sees you taking action—doing what you can do—He begins to move miraculously. Faith isn’t just about believing; it’s about walking in obedience, even when the path isn’t clear.
Trust the Process
Sometimes, it may feel like your dreams are delayed or even impossible. But trust that God is working in ways you cannot see. Keep speaking life over your vision. Keep taking those small, faith-filled steps. Keep your heart open to God’s timing and direction.
I want to encourage you today—don’t give up. Keep DREAMING BIG(ger), and declare your desires. Keep taking action. And most importantly, keep trusting that the God who started this journey with you is faithful to bring it to completion.
