FACE YOUR FEARS WITH FAITH .

“The Lord is on my side;  I will not fear.” ~ Psalm 118:6

If you are being bombarded with thoughts and emotions of fear, know that you are not alone.  With all the chaos and uncertainty in the world today it is easy to be overcome by fear and anxiety, even to the point of panic.  Satan will do everything he can to stop you from moving forward, and one of his greatest tactics is fear.  When we are full of anxiety and fear it is almost impossible to hear the voice of God.  We must face the fear with faith.  If we don’t recognize the fear, we can not overcome it.  Fear can be paralyzing.  Fear means to take flight, run from and in the Hebrew it says to shrink back from.  Ever dread that conversation where you would rather shrink back and forget about it?  What about that new business opportunity that you would love to pursue but fear keeps screaming, No. When we are at a crossroads, or being challenged to move forward, we cannot allow fear to stop us.

If you have areas in your life that fear is holding you back from, I encourage you to fight back with faith.  When fear is knocking on your door, allow faith to answer.  Isiah 41:10 tells us to, “Fear not; for I am with thee!  Be not dismayed for I am thy God; I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee, yea I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness”.  Fear not!  Stop fear in its tracks.  When it shows its ugly head, allow your faith to take over. Fear not for GOD IS WITH YOU! Just meditating on this one simple truth, that God is with you will begin to kick fear out.  If you are competitive and into sports at all, you can think of it as having the “star” player on YOUR TEAM.  It’s like, ok we got this.  God is on YOUR TEAM!  He is the BEST player of all!  He never fails.  He always comes through.  If God be for you, who can be against you?  (Romans 8:31).

If you are weak in your faith, begin to read the Word of God.  Hear the Word of God.  Meditate on the Word of God.  Put your earbuds in and allow your spirit  to be filled with praise and worship. Listen to your favorite faith filled podcast. “Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God”. (Romans 10:17).  We must build up our faith in order to defeat the fear of the enemy.  Remember the parable of the talents?  The master gave three men talents.  One five talents, one three talents, and one one talent.  When the master came back he found that two of them doubled the talents given and he called them good and faithful servants and put them over even more.  However, the one with just the one talent said he was afraid and hid the talent.  The master called this man wicked and slothful and took the talent he had and gave it to the one with ten talents.  Don’t allow fear to keep you from receiving the double.  Don’t allow fear to steal anymore!Philippians 4:6-7, “Be anxious for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known unto God.  And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

Instead of fear, begin to PRAY, PRAY and PRAY again, WITH thanksgiving.  With faith.  With belief that GOD IS WITH YOU!  That GOD will hear you.  “I will fear no evil, for you are with me” (Psalm 23:4).  God has big plans for your future.  He said He would do above and beyond anything you could ask or think.  Satan is a LIAR!  And the father of all lies.  Trust God today.  Walk by faith and put all fear underneath your feet.  Begin to speak this simple prayer of faith…..

Father, I thank you today that you are with me.  That I do not have to worry about tomorrow, I don’t have to fear anything, for YOU ARE WITH ME.  I give you my worries, my cares, my burdens and I trust you to lead me and guide me in the right direction in every area of my life.  Fear is bound! Faith will abound!  In Jesus name.  Amen.
