How old were you when you first found out your last name? We all learn our first name rather quickly, but some of us were not aware of our last name for some time. Even though you didn’t know it before that time it did not change the fact that your last name was your family’s name. When you were born again, you were born into a new family. If you are in Christ Jesus, then you are the seed of Abraham and an heir according to the promise! “And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” ~Galatians 3:29 “Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made” ~Galatians 3:16
You are an heir and all the promises of God are now yes, and Amen. Until you know that you know who you are in Christ, you really don’t know what you actually possess. Galatians 4:1, “Now I say, that the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all.” Paul was showing us that the “knowledge” of your inheritance is what differentiates us from children to sons and daughters. If you are unaware of what belongs to you, you continue to walk around in need, thinking you don’t have when in actuality you are an heir of all the promises.
Because of “whose” you are, you are given access to the promises! If you have received the blood and made Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior, you are now an heir of the promises! The curse is forfeited . An heir does not work for what is inherited. It is a gift. It is yours because you are an heir. It is not because of how good you are, or because of all your hard work. You have become an heir because you are the seed of Abraham! “For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.” ~Hebrews 6:13-15.
Abraham believed God and obtained the promise! The promise made to him by God was to Abraham, and His seed. You are sons and daughters of the most High God! That means you are an heir! An heir of all the promises of God. The curse of the old covenant is broken. God’s blessings on your life is something that God swore to. God wants to bless your life and multiply everything in it that is good. “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.” ~ Galatians 3:13-14
You have the right to a full, powerful anointing from the Lord. Regardless of who you think you are or what you have or have not done in the past. Separation from God has forever been re-established through Christ. The curse of sin is broken. The curse placed upon mankind through the fall of Adam has been. You are now the seed of Abraham, and all the blessings bestowed upon him are now yours. Today, you have the authority to take and receive your inheritance. Whatever your need is, the promise is yours. Believe and receive it now.
