Thanksgiving is more than just a day, it’s a posture of the heart. It’s the perfect time to pause and reflect on the goodness of God. Scripture reminds us of the incredible power of gratitude. Psalm 95:2 invites us to “come before His presence with thanksgiving” and “shout joyfully to Him with psalms,” When you give thanks, you open the door for His presence to dwell in you and all around you.
I know life isn’t always easy. You may feel like gratitude is the last thing you can muster up right now. But even when it’s a sacrifice, choosing to thank God for His faithfulness shifts our focus and the atmosphere. It invites His peace to replace our worries and His presence to fill the places where we feel empty. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us that when we bring our needs to Him with thanksgiving, His peace—beyond anything we can understand—guards our hearts and minds.
“Bless the Lord, O my soul; And all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, And forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Who redeems your life from destruction, Who crowns you with lovingkindness and tender mercies, Who satisfies your mouth with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” ~Psalm 103:1-5
When we remember His benefits: forgiveness, healing, love, and provision. And begin praising God for what He’s already done, something incredible happens—our hearts begin to believe Him for even more. Gratitude stirs up faith and your faith begins to move God.
As we prepare to step into a new year, let’s not only thank Him for where we’ve been but believe Him to do above and beyond all we can ask or think. Praise Him for making dreams come true, opening doors, and blessing you beyond measure. When you thank Him for the blessings you see now and the ones you’re trusting Him for, you position yourself for His miraculous multiplication.
This Thanksgiving, let your gratitude unlock His presence and hope for the future. Lift your praise and dream big(ger), trusting Him to move in unimaginable ways.
Wishing you a Thanksgiving filled with faith, joy, love, and overflowing gratitude!
